The environment is very important to the Town of Come By Chance and its residents. With this in mind, the community has taken an active role in helping to promote the importance of protecting our environment, with special programs to get the residents involved including the Compost Incentive and the Town Recycling Drive.
Another important aspect of the Town of Come By Chance’s active role in the environment is their partnership with Eastern Habitat Joint Venture, Ducks Unlimited, the Departments of Natural Resources and Wildlife, the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador and the Government of Canada in the protection and maintenance of the Bird Estuary.
